I dont know why it always give this kind of failure.
All my columns are failure in slenderness failure.
Thanks
Please check the effective length calculated by the program. If you are using any older version please upgrade to RCDC 2023 and recalculate it. Check if there is ny change. Also you may upload the file for further check.

Here is file related to my rcdc
I can see some columns with 150mm width. Considering 5m length of column this width is very less and hence slenderness failure is shown. You may incraese the size to make the column pass.
No I cant because my client need the column to made flush with walls. How RCDC considered it as a failure? It refer to which clause?
That is not a failure. That one is a column category.
Or you try to say that RCDC cant design for slender column?
Abhisek M please provide reference code no of the above mentioned statement and RCDC is not capable to design a slender column ?
Hello,
I further checked the issue and found that the columns here with dimension 150 x750 mm is getting designed as wall. The reason is the settings.
As per this setting for your column D/B = 750/150 = 5 > 4 and qualify for wall. Now as per BS 8110 1997 code Table 3.23 provides the allowable maximum slenderness ratio. As in your model the slenderness was greater than limiting ratio, it was showing fail. If you want the column not be designed as wall you can put a higher value in the above mentioned field like 6, and will find no such slenderness failure.
Also, I would like to confirm RCDC can design the columns for slender cases considering additional moments due to slender.
