how STAAD calculate shear area Ayy , Azz and torsional constant of angles and other built of member made in the section wizard as per IS 800 ?
Please tell the Process!!
Currently Section wizard does not calculate Ay and Az value. It has been decided to leave these Shear Area columns as 0 as different methodologies are used to calculate these terms in different design codes. The user should calculate shear area manually and enter the calculated value instead of 0.
Can you please attach the .sec file (for section builder) or .cns file (for free sketch) or .con file (for free sketch)?
if is not calculating then how would web is contributing in shear of built up member
User needs to enter Ay and Az manually if the section is created with section wizard
we also do not get the HSS value , it is 0. is it only a problem with IS800 or other codes also?
