Is STAAD.Pro 2023 == STAAD.Pro CONNECT V23? Or put another way....is the new STAAD.Pro 2023 a step away from the "CONNECT" framework? If it was a step away from CONNECT framework, what is STAAD.Pro 2023 working towards? iTwin?
Sorry, but I swear there have been so many systems in the past 5-8 years being thrown around (v8i, CONNECT, iTwin, etc), I am getting confused.
Hello Michael,
Let me try to give some clarity here. STAAD.Pro is there for long and has seen a lot of changes. STAAD.Pro V8i version is no more supported an discontinued already. After V8i version, Connect Edition version was the major change and we provided all updates for STAAD.Pro connect edition only. Now, we are planning to provide a major release every year along with some minor release. The major releases will mainly incorporate major enhancements and upgradation of the product where the minor enhancements and bug fixes will be pushed in minor releases. So, for this year STAAD.Pro 2023 is the major release and you can find update 1 as minor release. Hopefully next year major relaese will be termed as STAAD.Pro 2024. This will help you to understand the age of the versions you are using easily.
So, to answer your question STAAD.Pro connect edition and STAAD.Pro 2023 are not same. And you can install both the versions side by side in a single system. From the links provided by Ranjana you will be able to know the major enhancements we have made in STAAD.Pro 2023.
iTwin is a technology which provides instant access to large-scale datasets for visualization and insights. Your digital twins are continuously synchronized and federated across repositories on their native formats while supporting complex user workflows. STAD is already itwin enabled like all other softwares in our portfolio. This has no direct connection with the version or name changed at STAAD.Pro end.

Thanks Abhisek, this was the answer I was looking for. I noticed that STAAD.Pro 2023 can be installed in parallel with the last CONNECT edition, which will help transition to the next major version.
