I have been having a hard time getting sensible analysis results for the RAM model with horizontal braces. Finally I was able to simplify the model as much as possible to get a sensible load path and determine the loads in horizontal and vertical braces. If you look at the snap attached below, I see story shears for Wind Y to be distributed between 2 frames at the end and a force in the middle of the diagram. Its a pseudo-flexible diaphragm and I have assigned the load percentages equally on 2 braced frames in Y direction. But the story shear in the middle of the diaphragm does not make sense. Also is the model accurate and reliable to get forces in the horizontal braces in the slab openings ?
