Does Staad tower can be used to design electrical towers or communication towers only?
if so why staad tower does not support American code ASCE-10 for electrical tower design.

i had used a trial version of Staad(x)Tower recently & i have some doubts.
Does Staad(x)Tower supports Monopoles with tapered cross section for the telecommunication industry ?
Can we introduce user defined platform shapes for the monopoles, because we find only triangular shaped platforms in the software.
In the current version, monopoles with tapered are not supported. Our developers are implementing this. It will be available in the next release of the software. User defined platforms are not supported in the present version but this feature is in our development list.
