How to assign seismic load in staad.pro?

dear honorable engineers, 
 I am learning staad.pro on my self.please someone write to me how can I assign seismic load(both static and dynamic) in staad.pro especially through is1893.Please tell me about seismic defination. When we assign self weight, joint weight,member wt,floor wt in seismic defination, shall we again assign them in Load Case Details?or What is actual meaning?

When you are using equivalent static seismic load generation you may add selfweight, joint weight, member weight etc. as part of the Seismic Definition and then these weights are used by the software to calculate the total seismic weight which is multiplied by a coefficient to calculate the base shear. As an alternative approach, you can define Reference Loads (of type Mass) to include all the loads that you would want to consider for calculating the seismic weight. In this approach you would NOT include any weights as part of the seismic definition itself. The software would automatically calculate the seismic weight using the loads defined within the mass type Reference Load. 
 No matter which method you choose from the above to define the seismic weight, you would still need to define dead load, live loads as separate load cases because whatever you are defining as part of the Seismic Definition or as part of the Mass Type Reference Loads, are solely used by the software for the seismic load generation.

I assume that you wanted to say "Reference Load" instead of "Repeat Load". If that is true, then yes, if you have entered a dead load in the Mass Reference Load, then this load will be considered in the seismic load generation only. In this case, you should either create a separate Dead Load Reference Load or new Load Case with dead loads and then use it in the Load Combinations.
