I am working on modeling an odd shaped lifting ring for a client. Does anyone know of an example for the development of a finite element model of a lifting ring (the cross section of the ring is a round steel bar) for STAAD Pro V8i? I am not familiar with finite element anlaysis with STAAD Pro. In the past I have used other software.
