While doing steel design as per IS:800-2007 using STAAD V8i, I face the following issue.
STAAD pro v8i is considering Buckling class based on Rolled Section even if i give Built-up Section. Please give ideas how to change buckling class in STAAD V8i.

You need to provide the STP parameter to change buckling class in STAAD.Pro V8i. By default the designs are done as per the provisions of Hot rolled section. If you want to change it to welded section, then you have to define the STP parameter. Please go to Design > Steel > Define parameters > STP as shown in the attached screenshot. Assign it to the members.
