Hello STAAD.Pro experts!
I am in the middle of a slab design using STAAD.Pro v8i. The model is ready and i am starting to use the STAAD.Pro RC designer. I want to design the slab according EC 2, but when I choose the standard EC 2:1991 or EC 2:2004 I cannot choose "slab" design, just beam or column. if I want to design slab, I can choose BS8110 or ACI 318-05. Do you have any idea, why i cannot design slab using EC2?
I hope someone know the answer for my problem.
Thank you.

I am facing similar problem for designing slab with IS 456 in R C Designer and finally I come to the conclusion that RC designer does not support IS 456 for slab design. Although I vaguely remember that Tech Ref manual some where stipulats that a particular version of Staad v8i supports slab design. I too would like to be enlightened.
The slab designer is curently only meant for BS 8110 code. However, work is on to have the EC2 code implemented in the RC slab designer as well. IS 456 is not implemented as well - but I understand that there are plans to have it implemented as well.

So, we have to wait for slab design with EC2 in STAAD. Until that, I am going to design slab with BS8110.
Thank you for your answers.
