I am currently writing a report on a structure and would like to include images from my Staad Pro model which show section assignments. For this I have selected the section under the properties menu, and have 'Highlight Assigned Geometry' checked so when I select the member it highlights the members. However the model is covered in reference numbers ie. R1, R2 etc on each member.
How do I turn off these reference numbers so the model just shows the skeleton frame and highlighted sections?
Many Thanks, John
Go to Select menu, choose By Specification... Property, and select the property. In case you have two reference numbers with same property, you can use Ctrl or Shift for multiple selection The members assigned the specified property/properties will get selected. You can then take snapshot...

Thank you for your response, I tried this but my model still remains covered in the section references. So any snap shot I take will be just a mass of blue letters. I have also tried Labels - Properties - None, but this makes no difference.
This is probably because you are currently in the General-Properties page. STAAD is designed to show certain labels by default depending on the page you are in (in the Modeling mode). So, those labels cannot be turned off while you are in that page. For example, if you are in the Geometry-Beams page, the Node icons (black dots) are displayed and you can't turn them off in that page. When you are in the General-Supports page, the supports are always displayed. In the General-Loads page, the load arrows are always displayed. Similarly, in the General Properties page, the property Reference numbers are always shown.
The one page where no label is "unremovable" is the Setup page. What I mean is, that is the one page where any and every label can be turned off.
So, go to the Setup page and try removing the label in the manner you tried earlier.
Thank you for explaining that, it does make sense now.
I managed to do what I wished by first following what SKLose wrote, then by selecting the properties in the way Arunkumar wrote.
Thanks once more.
You can go to Labels - property - none and then tick the box that says "Always use current label settings." Hope this helps!
