Why Unable to apply Wind load for cooling tower kind of structure. i.e Structure with only plates or surfaces.
Error Shows :
**ERROR NO MEMBERS IN RANGE IN WIND LOAD.
Practically there won't be beams or column members in such a structure.
Is there any other way to apply wind load for this type of structures.

I have not applied as member load.
I defined wind load in Wind defination and assigned to the structure.
But it is not applied.
Is wind load defination is only applicable for members?

Automatic Wind Load generation in STAAD cannot generate wind loading on plates. The wind load can only be generated on closed panels bounded by members . Kindly refer article 5.31.3 of the Technical Reference Manual .
