how to deal with the the problem of "badly shaped, not convex, warped,or not mumbered counter-clockwise"?

hello everyone,

anybody can help me to work out the issue, which showing the following warning after running analysis.

  

 *WARNING* PLATE NO.     4(JOINTS     51 -     53 -     52 -     50)         

IS BADLY SHAPED, WARPED, NOT CONVEX, OR NOT NUMBERED COUNTER-CLOCKWISE.

  • It appears to me that all the 4 nodes are not in one plane. That may be checked with the joint coordinate. one coordinate (x or y or z) for all the 4 points has to be the same. Pl check.

  • Your editor file is not having node no.50 51 52 and 53. Plate no 4 in the model is attached to some other nodes. Whether the warning that you spoke to pertains to this model or some other model.

  • You need to subdivide the plates further. Currently, the length of the longest side to the shortest side of each element is 5/0.17 = approx. 29.5

    A value greater than 8 triggers the warning message.
