A question to be clarified:
for the building desing, normally, the plate will be used and divided/inclosed by beams, when the specificatoin of master/slave shall be used? and when we consider the drift or others result, what 's the difference from view of analysis, between two cases (specifying the master/slave and not).

When you do simlate the diaphragm with plate, master slave is not required. Master slave is a substitute for diaphragm at floor level. As the analysis of plate takes too much time and the model becomes complicated, no body prefers to go in for plate. Plate analysis requires too much space on the drive. Difference in result obtained from the two methods is not even 1% which is negligible in case of structural design.
