Hey,
I am new to this forum but have a quick question to ask about the FEA side of STAAD.Pro. is it possible to either design a member to Eurocode 5 (Timber design) or to design it to no particular code and just get a reading for the internal stresses rather than an overall pass or fail result?
This may be a fairly simple answer but I am hoping to use STAAD.pro to do some analysis for my Dissertation so this is a crucial detail.

If you just want the stresses at various corners of the cross section at various locations along the member span, you can get them in the Beam-Stresses page of the post-processing mode. It is a simple (P/A + M/S) calculation that doesn't involve any code-related checks.
