How can i define a new timber material within Staad.Pro with given values for Bending strength etc rather than using a set value such as C16 timber?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is for my Dissertation.
If you intend to perform a timber design for those members, then, you can edit the timber database and add the properties, material data and allowable stresses to the database.
Thanks, how do i access the timber database to add the material to the list? And also will this material appear within the add parameters box in the design tab?
Go to the Tools menu. Choose Browse/Modify Section Database. Choose Timber. You can add the section to one of the two tables that is shown there.
