I have a steel structure Modeled, Analysed & Designed in STAAD.Pro V8i SS4 and Connections designed in RAM Connection plugin for STAAD. However, when I'm creating a repository for exporting the data to Pro Steel for detailing, RAM Connection data is not captured by ISM or structlink.
Is there any tool or option for that ? If not, do we have a work around, as this can be useful for the Steel Structural Design/fabrication Community.
Currently the Connection plate information can only be transferred to ISM using Ram Connection within Ram Elements. We hope to add connection data from Ram Connection for STAAD.pro and RAM Structural System next year.
Thanks a lot Seth. This is an important step as far as Steel Structural Designers' work flow is concerned. It will help the users in a great way.
On a different note, is there a work around for the same?
Not exactly a work around, but if you have a license for Ram Elements you can pull a STAAD.pro model into Elements, then design the connections, then export to ISM, but a lot of re-work would be involved.
Ok. Agreed, it involves a lot of re-work. Hoping to see it in the next update.
