I have a steel structure Modeled, Analysed & Designed in STAAD.Pro V8i SS4 and Connections designed in RAM Connection plugin for STAAD. However, when I'm creating a repository for exporting the data to Pro Steel for detailing, RAM Connection data is not captured by ISM or structlink.
Is there any tool or option for that ? If not, do we have a work around, as this can be useful for the Steel Structural Design/fabrication Community.
Not exactly a work around, but if you have a license for Ram Elements you can pull a STAAD.pro model into Elements, then design the connections, then export to ISM, but a lot of re-work would be involved.
Ok. Agreed, it involves a lot of re-work. Hoping to see it in the next update.

Ram Connection v9.0 is in the final stages of testing. This version works with RAM SS 14.06.01.00 (launched directly from Ram Manager) and will export base plate and gusset plate geometry to the ISM repository. Integration with STAAD.pro is further off.
