Is it possible to merge two or more files into one model? This issue is not getting the structures into one file but once they are combined the member references from the imported (copy and paste) structure take on the member reference of the target file. Any thoughts?
I used to create models this way earlier - for a building, I would create each floor in separate models, giving separate node and beam nos., assign loads, etc. Then, finally, I would combine them all into one single space model (copy and paste) and connect the supports with members for column. Where you have any issues, you can open the input files for direct copy paste of data
Hope that helps,

in the text editor mode of the files, if I take the second file (from joint coordinates to the loadings ...) and paste it to the end of the first file before perform analysis, assuming no duplicates of joints and members or plates, then this should be ok?
Instead of copy and paste of entire second file to end of first file, the same should be done command set by command set (Joint Coordinates of Second file at the end of Joint Coordinates of first file, Memb Incid of 2nd at end of the same of first file, tc)
