Anyone can help me to model a dome 100 m base diameter and 60 m high, in StaadPro v8i?
StaadPro provides a spherical shape, but the height must be equal to base diameter.
So basically, how to change height?
Use the Structure Wizard - Surface/Plate Models - Spherical Surface wizard. Then enter some data like shown in the image below where the base diameter can be less than the sphere diameter:
You'll end up with something like this:
I have a dome. StaadPro says that base diameter cannot be greater than sphere diameter. What do I do when base diameter is greater than sphere diameter.?

How can the base diameter of a semi-sphere possibly be larger than the diameter of the sphere from whence it is derived? It's a mathematical impossibility.
