AISC 316-10

 Basically I knew that AISC 316-10 tends to combine ASD to LRFD somehow. What I want to make sure is how STAAD.Pro calculate against the standard. Does it calculate per ASD then LRDF and then choosing the worst one?

There is a design parameter called METHOD which allows you to select the ASD or LRFD method. By default, the LRFD method is being used by STAAD.Pro. If you want to use the ASD method, then design parameter METHOD ASD should be inserted:
