I was designing a 2 storey house usind Staad and after analysis found many errors in the staad results. so please Check the defects in the attached Staad design file and Give a solution. also check if the column positioning is correct or not

RE: Please Check the defects in Staad design and Give a solution

You should use ENSH for the beams only and not for columns. I guess the position is correct. Instead of all only define the beams using ENSH and try. If still the issue persists upload the file here.

RE: Please Check the defects in Staad design and Give a solution

Can u pl tell me where should i paste this "ENSH 1 MEMB ALL".
I have analyzed your model in STAAD.Pro build 20.07.09.31. There are no error messages, only three warning messages as:

*** WARNING:LENGTH TO DEPTH RATIO FOR MEMBER 141 IS LESS THAN 2.5.

Deep beam is not designed in STAAD. Thus whenever a beam is sub-divided into many sub-beams or you model a beam of small length, then L/d ratio is decreased since in this case length (L) is the length of the sub-beam and not the whole length of the beam extending between two columns. Thus a warning message is thrown to let the users know about the fact. In this case ordinary shear check will be performed.

I would suggest that you use ENSH 1 parameter for those beams where the program reports L/d is less than 2.5 to ignore enhanced shear strength. You can use the following command in your model.

ENSH 1 MEMB <member number>
