I created a custom base plate connection and tried to apply it to a column base node and I got the following error:
"[Error] No connections could be assigned to joint "Node(340) - Column(177)"[Information] Internal design error in the connection. Please contact technical support[Information] No connection could be assigned"

I am able to assign the custom connection to the joint without seeing the error. Are you able to assign a program installed base plate connection to the same joint?
Yes, I was able to assign a program installed base plate connection.
This is a program defect in v8.0.1.34 that will be resolved in a future release. If other users encounter this issue and a solution is needed before the next release, please contact us for assistance.
