Sir,
I have modeled a achitectural projet in which the column size is 230x1150 mm. Since the column size exceeds the codal provisions modeled the column as a shear wall. The analysis ran successfully and got no error. But while designing the shear wall I got the following message as:
"FAILED. NO REBAR IS AVAIABLE FOR VERTICAL REINFORCEMENT AGAINST OUT-OF PLANE BENDING CHECK"
Can the technical dept help me to solve the above? Can I increase the size or other means please.

Dear Sir,
If I remember correctly, this problem occurs because STAAD includes out of plane bending of shear wall to account for displacement equilibrium - you will probably need to go for thicker wall...
