Hi everyone!
Where can I find the expression for the parameters "FCZ", "FTZ", "FCY", and "FTY" in AISC ASD regulation?
Thanks!
The meaning of these terms are explained in the following link:
communities.bentley.com/.../10724.american-steel-code-aisc-faq.aspx
The values of FCZ or FCY are calculates as per equations E2-1 and E2-2 of Chapter E of the AISC 9th edition code. The allowable tension stress FTZ and FTY are calculated as 0.6*fy.
Please also refer to sections 2.4.1.1.1 and 2.4.1.1.3 of the Technical Reference Manual (corresponding to the current version of STAAD.Pro) for this.

Thanks :)
My apologies - there was a mistake in my earlier answer as I had mistakenly assumed FCZ, FTZ, FCY and FTZ as the allowable compression and tension stress. In reality they are allowable bending stresses in compression and tension and are calculated as per the specifications in Chapter F for compact and non-compact sections and as per Appendix F for slender sections.
In chapter F, you will find various equations calculating Fb. This Fb is generally meant to express the allowable compression stress in bending. The maximum possible Fb that can occur in the section with it not being limited by the restraint conditions can be taken as allowable tensile stress in bending.
Some information in this regard is also available in section 2.4.1.1.4 of the Technical Reference Manual.

Ok! Now I finnaly get it! I should use expression F1-6 to F1-8! It now makes sense to me.
Thank you very much for your help Sudip Narayan Choudhury!
