Dear Creators
Can you please explain on my query related to TRUSS member, please find the attachment.
Thanking you

Hi,
The LY and LZ are effective length of a member to calculate Slenderness Ratio for buckling about local Y axis and Z axis respectively. By default, program considers the member length as the effective length. If the effective length of the member in your model is not same as the original length of the member, you can specify the length using LY and LZ. Go to the design tab > Design parameters to specify these.
Dear suro,
Thanks for your reply, sorry actually I don’t know behavior of the truss, buckling length along both axis will act as a whole truss or individual post to post…? How will be the behavior & Buckling length along major and minor axis of the truss…?
pls explain, if any example means easy to understand.
dear suro and bentley members looking for your reply...
