Allow defined "optimization" parameters

A great feature would be if the user were able to select via checkboxes which parameters in the joint were included in the optimization or redesign feature. For example, for a shear connection, if I wanted to keep (5) 3/4" bolts, but I wanted the program to optimize the plate thickness, I could manually make those selections.

    Hi Seth, this is not quite what I mean as it would require setting up a template in advance for the configurations you intend to use - the basic templates only cover a few configurations currently. But thanks for the reply

    We have something like you suggest for smart base plates. Here the user is able to select what would be optimized when pressing the Optimization button and there are some parameters to set values like max thickness, etc. Is this what you suggest for all other smart connections?
