There is only an option of inserting cantilever length or provide X or Y intercept for beam extension. It would be useful to have an option of selecting an end point like stubs.
Thanks for the insight on this. The problem your are having is most evident when working in areas where the framing is rotated. The current commands work well for orthogonal framing, but I see now not so well for rotated framing. It gives me some ideas that I will have to think about. Thanks for posting the suggestions!!
Here I have the grids already setup, then with that feature I could just extend the beam to the intersection of grids instead of going and measuring the distance and inserting the value.
It's not an urgency but would be nice to have that option.
The reason we didn't do this is because the user might (probably would) pick a point that results in a cantilever that doesn't align with the beam. The program wouldn't know how to deal with a beam with a kinked cantilever. The current options for adding cantilevers cover the most common configurations, what is the situation where you would need this ability?
