Add method to generate load cases with loading on plates to complement the method provided for creating load cases with loads on beams.
Moving load requires a Beam Member in model, If Model did not have any, it should be able to add a dummy member on the fly based on Moving load definition.
Since Beam was only considered for Moving load to start with , its not a bad idea to give it a preference over plate.
Understood. The suggestion is that we have a method for creating load cases with loading stepped along the model. This was developed for beam models. You are looking for a similar feature for plate models. If the feature is developed for combined beam/plate models, then there is a question about what happens when a beam lies along the edge of a plate and a load lands in a location which has both objects. What object would take precedence?
