No Distributed Loads Generated for Deck Area

    (36373 False)
      Applies To
      Product: Ram Elements
    First Affected Version: 14.00.00.240
      Found in Version: 14.00.00.240
    Fixed in Version: 14.00.01.08
      Area:  Analysis
    Severity: High
      Issue #: 748651

    Problem Description

The program does not distribute loads from deck areas to adjacent members. The analysis runs to completion and no error or warnings are generated during the analysis.

    Reason

There are problems with the node that define the deck area. For example, there may be a duplicate node or an intermediate node along the member may be missing.

In previous versions, these input issues generated an error like the one shown below during the analysis and the analysis did not complete.

    Solution

We implemented a fix for this problem in version 14,00.01.08, now providing a warning message for invalid deck areas. For other versions, try resolving the problem by deleting and remodeling the deck areas.
