The ISM Revit Plugin can be downloaded from the Bentley store here. For Bentley SELECT subscribers, the ISM Revit Plugin can be downloaded from Bentley Cloud Services here. After signing in to the CONNECTION Center, select Software Downloads under My Support. Once on the Software Fulfillment page, ISM Revit Plugin installers can be located by performing a search on "ISM Revit".

Special Notices

The installation of ISM Revit Plugin CONNECT Edition will automatically uninstall any previous versions that were installed. This version of ISM Revit Plugin can be run in Revit 2017, 2018, and 2019.

ISM Revit Plugin requires ISM and Structural Synchronizer (both of which are installed with Structural Synchronizer). More information on ISM and Structural Synchronizer can be found here.
 

New Features

The following enhancements were added to ISM Revit Plugin CONNECT Edition V11.

Subscription Entitlement Service

This product version utilizes Subscription Entitlement Service, which is not supported by SELECT activation key(s). SES is a free service, featuring new behavior to enhance your organization’s user administration and security with mandatory user sign-in via CONNECTION Client to access the application. If you are already signed in to the CONNECTION Client, you have met this prerequisite. If you have not, please refer to the Administrator's Resource Center and/or contact your administrator for assistance in the registration and sign-in process.

Revit Analytical Model as basis of ISM export.

For Create ISM Repository and Update ISM Repository actions, the option to use Revit Analytical Model as basis for export has been included.

In prior versions (and with the Analytical Model option unchecked) the exported location members are based on the physical model only, with this option selected - Revit’s internal Analytical model locations will be used as basis for export to other ISM enabled applications. Revit internally maintains an analytical model in addition to the physical model – using the Analytical Model option, the onus is on the user to ensure proper connectivity of the building model is in place prior to export.

Revit have some structural integrity/consistency checks that should be executed prior to exporting to ISM. Ensure both Member Supports and Analytical/Physical Model Consistency options are checked under Analyze > Analytical Model Settings

Note that REVIT’s Analytical Model will not be modified for ISM inbound operations (New from ISM Repository and Update from ISM Repository).

Error Corrections

Structural Rebar Corrections and Improvements

1. Export Surface Rebars as Structural Rebars when 'Host' option is disabled in Revit Reinforcement settings. 
2. Fixed hook orientation for Concentrated Surface Rebars that are exported as Structural Rebar. 
3. Surface Rebars exported as Structural Rebars now are assigned with Maximum Spacing layout option to match the layout that is given when exported as Area or Path Reinforcements. 
4. Fixed hook orientations for Strucutural Rebars created from Area Surface Rebars. 
5. Fixed hook orientations for Path Reinforcements created from Concentrated Surface Rebars. 

About ISM Revit Plugin

The ISM Revit Plugin enables a round trip exchange between Revit^® and Bentley’s Integrated Structural Modeling (ISM) format, therefore also enabling a round trip exchange between Revit and any other ISM-enabled application. RAM Structural System, RAM Concept, and STAAD.Pro are examples of applications that are ISM-enabled and can interoperate with Revit with the help of the ISM Revit Plugin.

The ISM Revit Plugin adds commands to Revit that allow ISM repositories to be created and updated from Revit, and allow Revit to create and update ISM repositories. The ISM Revit Plugin is dependent on ISM and thus Structural Synchronizer must be installed on the computer.
