When attempting to edit or review the story data in RAM Modeler the module crashes.
In version 17 we enhanced the story data dialog to allow for stories to be generated. Some files with imported data exhibit a corruption of the story generation data causing the program to crash.
Open the file in Ram Manager.
In the file explorer, navigate to the program working directory, typically located here C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Engineering\RAM Structural System\Working or C:\ProgramData\Bentley\Engineering\RAM Structural System\Data\Working (for more see: https://communities.bentley.com/products/ram-staad/w/structural_analysis_and_design__wiki/3112/ram-ss-files-faq)
Delete (recycle) the file with the name of the open model and the extension .std (filename.std)
Note, this is not a STAAD.Pro file despite the name. Here it stands for story data and it is generally safe to delete this file. The story data will still be OK, only the story generation settings are reset.
