Base shears, reactions, moments all reported as zeros for generated seismic load case

    Applies To
    Product(s): STAAD.Pro
    Version(s): ALL
    Environment: ALL
    Area: Load Generation
    Subarea: Seismic Load Generation
Original Author: Sye Chakraborty, Bentley Technical Support Group

I have generated my seismic load using the equivalent static method. However I am getting zero base shears or reactions/forces for that load case. What am I doing incorrectly ?

The direction factor may have been specified as zero for that load case. Please go to the Load & Definitions window and double click on the seismic load item as marked below and make sure that you have a non-zero value specified for Factor
