The following new and updated features have been added to since V8i (SELECTseries 2):
Self-supporting towers are now defined by Sections, as to be consistent with common terminology and with other tower types.
Sections are a super-set of individual panels. The number of sections as well as no of bays per section are defined in the updated Self-Supporting Tower Wizard as well as in the Tower Information Properties panel.
Section properties can be used to vary the properties of all sub-components within a section. Similarly, a new Sections table has been added to quickly review and edit the tower structure by section.
The Self-Supporting Tower Wizard has also been enhanced to allow you to specify the design code and member profiles for general section types in the wizard.
Member sections may be filtered by specification and shape (class) in the Self-Supporting Tower Wizard.
Reports for self-supporting towers have been completely updated for both standards, provided concise reports which are easier to manage.
