STAAD connect edition forces/moments is not considered by RCDC design of foundation

Could you please see the attached shed staad connect edition file while designing the foundation the forces/moments are not considered by RCDC design of foundation.

Answer:

For foundation design RCDC reads the member end forces of the supported column ends and take those forces and moments in design. It does not take the reactions directly in consideration. In your model you have assigned all the loads at the support nodes and hence all loads are directly going to reaction. The members in your model are not experiencing any force. The only load applied on the members is self-weight. Hence you will find some force values for dead load case and seismic mass load case.
You can apply the loads at the top end of the columns so that the members will experience some loads and moments. When they will transfer those loads and moments to the support, the program will get the member end forces and moments and RCDC will be able to take the actual loads and moments for foundation design.
Hope this solves your query.
