How to generate floor loading on an inclined floor/roof ?

 

Generating floor load on an inclined floor can be done in STAAD.Pro using floor load command with group option. Floor loading can be generated on a closed panel of members. So, here first we need to create a group of type floor and associate all the members which are forming closed panels. For each slope we should create different floor groups. To create floor groups you can press Ctrl+G or click on groups under utilities.

This will open the "create group" window where you can create a group with a name (without any space in it) and selecting the type "FLOOR" from the dropdown. 

Once the floor name is created we need to associate the members which forms closed panel.

Then we can go to floor loading and add floor load for that group. Please keep in mind to check the "inclined "option (step 4) for a inclined floor. This option will only be activated if we try to assign load using group option.
