    RAM Elements Update Design


    General

    During update 16.05.00.213 a new feature was implemented to update a Design for steel and wood members that have lost their design (due to changes in their design parameters or a change of section) without the need to run the Design for all the members that already have a good design.

    The option is enable only when at least one member has lost their design:

    This will happen when you change any value in the Steel or Wood paramters:

    Or when a section for any particular member is changed.

    Note: in version 16.05.00.213 there was a problem when changing a section the Update Design will not become available. This was corrected in version 16.06.00.187

    Using the tool

    Once the option is available, you will have two option that you can use:

    • You can design all members without a design in your model, or
    • Design only the members that you have selected.

    Information on how the design is being performed is displayed in this same window.
