Some of the icons in my STAAD.Pro interface are grayed out

Some of my icons like Add Beam, Run Analysis, Command File, Analysis Output etc. are grayed out. How can I get these activated?

There are a couple of things that you should do. First and foremost, ensure that the command file (input editor) or the Analysis Output File (ANL file) is not already open. If they are, close them first and that should resolve the issue. If these are not open and some of the icons are still grayed out for you, it could be a refresh issue with the graphic user interface. A quick way to fix this would be to click on one of the menu options highlighted below that is different from the one you may be currently in and then click back on the one that you are currently in. That should help activate the icons.
