In my model there are few beams which have been created to apply load only. I do not want RCDC to design or read them. How to do that?

RCDC automatically detects all the members from STAAD Model. But if you want some members not to be read by RCDC then there is a workaround. You can create a new material with density zero and type unspecified which may be called a dummy material like below.

ISOTROPIC DUMMY

E 2.17185e+07

POISSON 0.17

ALPHA 1e-05

DAMP 0.05

G 9.28139e+06

Now, you can assign this material to the members which you do not want in RCDC module to be read.
