How shear force for design is calculated in STAAD using IS13920: 2016 code ?

 

When we are designing any beam as per IS 13920: 2016 code, below highlighted clause is referred. 

Here, Program calculates shear as per 6.3.3 (a) and (b) separately and will take larger value to check against shear capacity of the beam. To calculate shear force as per 6.3.3 (b) , program calculates sway shear depending of member length and moment capacity. This calculation is shown in the verification file.

In the example you can find that clause 6.3.3 (b) provides higher shear value and that has been taken in final calculation.
