How to take care the design and detailing of different types of frame in ACI code?

If you are using ACI code in RCDC , you can get an option under Settings > Design settings to control this feature.

  

As shown in the above snap if you do not check the box against "perform ductile design" option the program will design the frame as ordinary moment resisting frame. But if you check that box 2 other criteria will be activated. You can then choose the correct radio button to select the required one. As per this input the program will design and detail the columns.
