Is it possible to insert a comment string within the Command File Editor?

Yes, to insert a command in the STAAD input file, one needs to add the asterisk symbol (*) at the beginning of the line by using the STAAD Editor (Utilities -> Command File). In this way that line will be considered as a comment and not considered by the program.
