Question:

We are facing difficulty while importing a .mdb file in RCDC software. In our Etab model we have all shear walls. There is no column property assigned in the model but error in RCDC is (columns are missing) if there are no columns in the Etab model then why is this file showing error? Here attaching Etab file and .mdb file for your reference.

Answer:

Can you please add a dummy column (50x50mm) in E-tabs file to make sure that there is a at-least one column present in file.

You can model it at any level wherever feasible in the structure.

You need to ignore that column in RCDC.
