RAM Elements V13.0.3 Release Notes

RAM Elements v13.0.3 Release Notes – Updated April 2013

Enhancements

None

Resolved Issues

  1. Fix to the AISC 360-05 design for slender T sections, where an error message kept appearing.
  2. Repair to the B2 factor used in determining Mu for combined bending and axial forces when first-order analysis is employed. RAM Elements was incorrectly reporting higher B2 values.
  3. The ultimate shear stress, Fs, in CSA S16-09 was incorrectly being reported due to a units input in the calculation equation.
  4. Tension effects in the concrete design module were not being considered correctly, causing inaccurate dowel development length and transverse reinforcement spacing calculations. Columns with just compression had no issues.
  5. Slenderness warnings were not being reported for AS 4100:1998 and CSA S16-09 design.
  6. Distributed loads in the borders of physical shells were being incorrectly discretized into equivalent ones in the FE shells, causing the reactions being reported not to be in equilibrium with the applied loads.
  7. Models imported from MultiFrame into RAM Elements via Structural Synchronizer (ISM) had incomplete material properties.
  8. The command “Save as ZIP” was reporting missing DLLs. This has been corrected.
  9. During rebar optimization in the footing design module, an excessive spacing between bottom transverse bars was being conveyed.
  10. There were missing references for Strength Design in the masonry wall module for some calculations. These have been included now.
