    • Why is the "Check Integrity" command unavailable?

      Problem Description:  When right-clicking on a horizontal alignment, the "check integrity" command is grayed out and unavailable.

      Solution:  Horizontal and Vertical Elements Add-In must be toggled on in Tools > Application Add-Ins for this command to be available within the product.

      Go to C:\Program Files\Bentley\MicroStation V8i (SELECTseries)\MicroStation\config\appl and edit the WaterCAD.cfg file.  The last line of the file says, “MS_LIBRARY_PATH < $(MS_WATERCAD_ROOTDIR)”.  Change the < sign to a > sign and the issue will be resolved.

    • Unable to update the Cross Section set after regenerating the surface with the Create Surface command

      This issue occurs when regenerating the surface with the Create Surface command with “Empty Design Surface” toggled on.  This empties the design surface and recreates the components, features, etc of the surface with new GUID numbers.  When this occurs the cross section no longer has its intelligence and it cannot be updated.  The workflow should be to turn off the “Empty Design Surface” toggle and select “Modify…
