The creation of an alternate surface begins in the template. Within each template that makes up the corridor, edit the points for which the alternate surface will be comprised. If the bottom of the component consists of points: LEOP_B, CL_B and REOP_P, each point must be edited. At Alternate Surface: key-in a name for the alternate surface and Apply. Once the alternate surface name has been added for the first point, the Alternate Surface name will appear in the dropdown for other points. This is to be done for each template that makes the corridor.
Since edits have been made to the templates, these edited templates must be synchronized with the library. The final step is to ensure that Create Alternate Surface is selected within the Create Surface command of Roadway Designer.
