On Tuesday at the Road and Site LEARNing Conference, Joey LouAllen led the “Approach and Driveway Modeling” workshop where he showed OpenRoads concepts that can be applied when modeling intersecting approaches, secondary roads, and driveways. Among the topics covered:
A key concept when using OpenRoads tools is how to work between 2D and 3D views simultaneously.
Other important capabilities include:
To participate in the #Bentley15 learning, take the OnDemand course “Approach and Driveway Modeling” available in the LEARNserver.
Later in the day, Joey will help users build on the concepts learned in Approach and Driveway Modeling when he leads the "Intersection Modeling" workshop.
This course teaches tools and techniques that can be used to model an at-grade intersection. It will focus on OpenRoads methods, such as using Linear Templates, Quick Profile Transitions, and Surface Templates to provide flexibility and efficiency in addressing the varied needs and circumstances that arise when (re) designing an at-grade intersection.
To participate in this learning, Intersection Modeling is also available on-demand. Prior to taking this advanced course, it is recommended you take:
