"Unable to track file..." Error Message when Launching InRoads.

InRoads on a Windows 7 64bit Operating System Error Message:
“Unable to track file c:\progra~1\bentley\inroad~1.11\data\civil.xin through Access Manager.  The file resides on a Read-Only share or directory and will be opened Read-Only."

To Resolve this Issue:
  1. In Windows Explorer, navigate to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley folder.  Right-click on the Bentley folder and select Properties from the pop-up menu.  On the Securities tab, select the Users name and 'Edit' the permissions.  You need to allow Full control Permissions for Users.

2. On the General tab, uncheck “Read-Only”, select Apply and then OKWhen prompted to Confirm Attribute Changes, toggle on "Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files" and select OKIf prompted, select Continue on the Access Denied dialog and Ignore All on the Error Applying Attributes dialog.

3. Try to launch the product.

4. If the message still appears, go to the Windows Start menu and right-click on the icon used to launch the product. From the pop-up menu select PropertiesOn the Compatibility tab, toggle on “Run as Administrator”.  Restart the computer and launch InRoads.

If the above workflow does not resolve the issue please download the following files.  Once these files are downloaded, run the move_XIN_64.bat file.  After running the *.BAT, run the Project Default.reg file.  This will create a project default to point to the *.XIN file that was just moved.
