Staying true to our mission of advancing BIM through Digital Twins, and helping users make better decisions through the use of an open modeling environment, we have made significant enhancements to OpenRoads Designer in our 2020 Release 3. By leveraging iTwin technology, offering more opportunities for customization, supporting cross application integrations, and further automating plan production, OpenRoads is enabling unparalleled collaboration and project delivery across the ecosystem of team members and stakeholders.
The 2020 Release 3 includes:
This feature enables the use of iTwin Synchronizer to synchronize changes made in a design file to an iModel in the iModelHub. The iModelHub is a control center for iModels that coordinates concurrent access to iModels as well as changes made to them in the form of ChangeSets. This iModel can then be accessed and reviewed by team members from anywhere.
This feature allows teams to leverage the iTwin Design Review cloud service to facilitate peer reviews of work-in-progress deliverables. This enhancement includes a web-based, 2D/3D design review environment (ORD to ORD, ORD to Web, Web to ORD, or Web to Web workflows). Please note – this requires a PW Passport license.
This feature allows users to simply identify an area in which their project is located and download terrain data from USGS/SRTM (without cost and as a Tech Preview) or ESRI (with an additional subscription) in minutes. This data will create a terrain surface ready for design.
To further enhance the integration with ProjectWise for even better collaboration and data/design management, we’ve added more flexibility in customizing reports and storage.
This feature enables the multi-selection of a set of alignments to create sheets, saving you production time.
To enhance organization and ensure compliance with firm/project processes and best practices, we’ve made significant enhancements to support client naming conventions.
Two new capabilities have been added to enhance cross section sheets. First, we added the ability to process cross sections onto sheets using a Top Down method (in addition to the previously supported Bottom Up method). In addition, we added the ability to do Backward Facing cross sections.
This feature allows for multiple substrata materials in earthwork computation, saving you resource hours.
This feature has been enhanced to include synchronization as part of the Update Standards from dgnlib command. We have also updated the Item Types Expression Builder dialog.
This new tool can be used to downgrade the civil schema within files, thus allowing them to be opened and modified in previous versions of OpenRoads Designer.Join us on December 3 for an overview. REGISTER NOW.
