This concerns Geopak Road Tools.
When I click on draw profile, then place profile cell, it immediately goes to the placing of the cell before I can edit the station, elevation, horizontal scale, and vertical scale. Editing the text in the cell afterwards doesn't change the parameters, just the text itself it seems.
when you go create a profile cell, don't click the data point (leave the cell hanging on your cursor), go to the dialog and set your elevation, sta, etc. then, when you move your mouse out of the focus of the dialog, you can click in the dgn to place the cell.
never try to edit the cell itself or it will be useless later.

The problem is the dialogue box doesn't show up at all.
ok. exit microstation
Delete everything under the 8.11 folder
On Vista the location is
C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Bentley\MicroStation\8.11\
On win 7
C:\Users\ yourusername \AppData\Local\Bentley\MicroStation\8.11
on WinXP
C:\Documents and Settings\ yourusername \Local Settings\Application Data\Bentley\MicroStation\8.11\
try again
The tool uses the active tool settings dialog like other microstation tools, so if for example you have the Select Element tool open then you would see it's tool settings dialog, or place line then you would see it's tool settings. Do you see the tool settings dialog for other tools in MicroStation?
If so then have the tool settings dialog up for another tool then click the place profile cell tool and see what happens to the tool settings dialog.
