We are new to Geopak and are trying to build a template that has the following:
Road way fill slope of 4:1 down to a specified elevation.
We then have a "veryied width" ditch that is horizontal and heads toward an existing roadway. We then need to come off this roadway shoulder at a 4:1 slope down to that specified elevation from the fill slope to create a level ditch section.
Any suggestions how to set this template up?
Thanks

Hey, Im creating a median ditch profile, based on the center line profile. I need the fill to stay at a 6:1 and stop at the profile's elevation. Than I need a flat bed connecting both templates to create the ditch. (Template 1:SBML) \_CL_/(Template 2:NBML). Do you have any suggestions?
Any time you need to "target" a solution, you want to create an end condition. Based on the description of your end condition, I can't fully picture what your end condition is trying to do.
But some general ideas would be to create an end condition coming off the hinge point, Constraint 1 as a slope with the desired 4:1 slope and constraint 2 to a horizontal or vertical to give the end condition direction to solve. If you set the Point Properties and say "end condition is infinite", it will seek infinitely to whatever the target is for that end condition. Then you edit the actual component properties to set the target type as an "Elevation" and specify the elevaiton in the vertical offsets field.
Once that target solves, you can chain another end condition off it to solve for the ditch width, Create the new end condition and have it with a 0% slope and a horizontal value for the second constraing and you can set the end condition target to be an alignment XY to find the 2d position of an alignment to control the width.
You may have to use a combinations of end conditions to solve different situations. With the two conditions you explained before, with both of them solving down to a specified elevation, I think you will have a conflict and only one of them will be able to solve, so if you can perhaps sketch what you are trying to solve, we can get a better explanation to what the tempalte needs to solve. Include anything that will help determine what you are trying to target. Are you just trying to target for a certain depth then switch to a different condition? If the surface intercepts before the specified elevation do you want to stop at the surface (in essence you are seekign the surface first)? That way you are in a fill only condition and then if you need a ditch because you are further down and haven't intercepted ground, we can target that elevation and then draw the flat bottom ditch.
